ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Welcome to Cambridge AICE Biology!

Click on the LABS link to the left to find the Paper 3 review Powerpoint

Download the AICE Biology End of the year schedule. Take note that we will be doing reviews throughout the month of May. If you are excused from attending class, you are only required to attend the 4 official review sessions, but you are welcome (and encouraged) to attend any additional days you are available.

The Cambridge AICE & AP testing & review session calendar is now available! Please be aware that this calendar is not written in stone. I will make an announcement in class if there are any changes needed. The best way to use this calendar is to download the file, then delete all of the tests & review sessions that do not apply to you, then you have a personalized calander!

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

AICE Biology will offer you the opportunity to deepen and refresh the knowledge you gained in IGCSE Biology. The emphasis is to develop a profound understanding of many of the fundamental concepts in the field of Biology rather than an overview of all possible topics. There will be heavy emphasis on laboratory practical work in which you will gain not only procedural knowledge, but also become comfortable with designing and carrying out your own inquiries. In addition to completing the Cambridge AS / A2 curriculum, we will also learn the topics from the AP Biology course, allowing motivated students to be eligible to take both the AICE and AP Biology Exams.

Our text will be AS and A Level Biology by Jones, Fosbery, Taylor and Gregory.
We will supplement this text with Biology by Raven and Johnson, 7th edition.
