COURSE DESCRIPTION:
AICE Biology will offer you the opportunity to deepen and refresh the knowledge you gained in IGCSE Biology. The emphasis is to develop a profound understanding of many of the fundamental concepts in the field of Biology rather than an overview of all possible topics. There will be heavy emphasis on laboratory practical work in which you will gain not only procedural knowledge, but also become comfortable with designing and carrying out your own inquiries. In addition to completing the Cambridge AS / A2 curriculum, we will also learn the topics from the AP Biology course, allowing motivated students to be eligible to take both the AICE and AP Biology Exams.
Our text will be AS and A Level Biology by Jones, Fosbery, Taylor and Gregory.
We will supplement this text with Biology by Raven and Johnson, 7th edition.
